Cryolipolysis is a treatment involving the use of adjustable applicators that suck in and cool subcutaneous adipose tissue in a targeted manner. Cryolipolysis is a gentle body contouring method that can be used judiciously, especially in the case of localised fat deposits. Particularly in cases of normal weight or slight overweight, the treatment brings great satisfaction to patients.
Cryolipolysis consists of treating only the outside of the body with cold. No needles or other injections are required. The application of the applicator and, above all, the suction of the tissues by the vacuum are sometimes felt to be unpleasant. But this sensation generally disappears after a few minutes.
The treatment is always preceded by a consultation. Next, the relevant treatment area is marked and covered with a special gel pad to protect the skin. A cup-shaped applicator is then placed on the desired area and the underlying fatty tissue is sucked out by a vacuum. Most patients feel a slight tugging sensation, which subsides after around 10 minutes. This is followed by gradual, gentle cooling to temperatures just below freezing. Cooling is maintained for around 60 minutes. During application, you can relax, read, listen to music, surf the Internet, telephone, sleep or watch a film.
